The new ‘8K HDR’ logo appears to be the evolution of the current ‘4K HDR’ logo that Sony has used to promote its TVs since 2016. With CES 2018 coming up next month, there is a chance that Sony will unveil its first 8K TV. It is listed under 'light emitting diode (LED) displays’.
Sony filed for the ‘8K HDR’ trademark and logo in EUIPO (European Union International Property Office), USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) and JPO (Japan Patent Office) in October 2017
